Madison, NC -- Rockingham Sheriff's deputies located and arrested Derrick Wayne Easter, 29, who was on the run from Kansas State authorities.
The Kansas Department of Corrections contacted the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office, to notify them that Easter may be within their jurisdiction.
Deputies found Easter at 3511 US220 in Madison and immediately took him into custody.
Easter was on parole for multiple violations in the state of Kansas, including 3 counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, theft of property, 3 counts of forgery and aggravated escape from custody.
Easter is now being held without bond on a Magistrate's Order for Fugitive for the offense of Parole Violation by the State of Kansas.
