Alamance County, NC -- Two women were charged this week after an investigation into indecent liberties involving a child.
Alamance County Sheriff's Office began the investigation after the report of a female juvenile being the victim of indecent liberties in the northern part of Alamance County.
Carolyn Alston, 37, was arrested and charged with six counts of felonious indecent liberties with a minor.
Investigators also arrested Anjanita Massey, 36. She was charged with one count of felonious aiding and abetting of indecent liberties with a child.
Detectives said both women live at the same address in Mebane.
Alamance County said during their investigation, they determined additional incidents of indecent liberties happened within the City of Mebane. Mebane Police Department was notified and they have opened an investigation, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Alston faces additional charges of possesion with intent to sell/deliver marijuana, manufacturing marjuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a vehicle/dwellings for controlled substances and felonious possession of marijuana.
Alston was jailed under a $22,500 bond. Massey had a bond of $3,000, but already posted bond.
