Greensboro, NC-- A Greensboro Church is all about everyone meeting Jesus some day. However, they don't want you to do it before your time, especially if you're driving and texting.

Metropolitan United Methodist Church on East Market Street are so serious about drivers hanging up while driving, they've posted a sign on their outdoor message board.

Harry Waddell who does the messages on the church's sign is also a Driver's Ed Instructor. He told WFMY News 2, the idea for the sign that states "Honk if you Jesus. Text while driving if you want to meet him" came from his wife.

Waddell said the reason for the message is: "that you want to live a full life and to be safe and happy and whatever you do. But certainly you're not going to be safe and happy if you are gonna text and drive, it can be very damaging to you and of course you could die."

WFMY News 2 is also encouraging drivers to put the cell phone away while driving in its Great Hang Up campaign. You can click here to take the pledge of hanging up while driving.
