Gibsonville, NC -- The spring plant sale has started at the Guilford County Prison Farm.
The annual event features plants grown or products made by prisoners at the farm. Proceeds from the sale go into the county's general fund which Sheriff B.J. Barnes says helps to reduce taxes.
The sale features 30 different varieties of flowers and over 100,000 individual plants. In addition to plants, lawn furniture, yard ornaments, picnic tables and other goods are available for purchase.
The sale runs 7 days a week from 7am-5pm until everything is sold.
The Sheriff's Prison Farm in located just outside of Gibsonville, NC at the intersection of County Farm and Howerton Road.
