GREENSBORO - Most voters may not don't care about conventions, but there are a few reasons they still matter.

The Republican National Convention (RNC) kicks into high gear on Tuesday after it was delayed Monday with Isaac looming off the coast.

Rebecca Klase, an associate professor of political science at Greensboro College, said, "Many people are a little bit jaded because it is in many ways just scripted stories being told for 3 days long. There's a lot of Hollywood involved these days."

But she said it's a good opportunity for new information and a look at some rising stars in the Republican party.

Klase said to expect themes from the party throughout the week. She said it's a good opportunity for undecided voters to take the time to consider the issues.
