Charlotte, NC -- The 2012 Democratic National Convention concluded on Thursday, with President Obama accepting the Democratic nomination.
"The other night, you were all reminded of what a lucky man I am," President Obama referred to the First Lady's speech on Tuesday. "Sasha and Malia, you still have to go to school tomorrow."
Mr. Obama spoke to a packed Time Warner Arena, since Thursday's events were moved from Bank of America Stadium. The energetic crowd were on their feet and cheering through most of his speech.
"I share the pain of the families that lost their homes, and the workers that lost their jobs," said President Obama. "As I stand here tonight I have never been more hopeful about America...I'm hopeful because of you."
No balloons dropped, but the crowd was showered with confetti at the conclusion of the President's speech.
