Charlotte - A chance of severe weather Thursday night forced the Democratic National Convention to move President Obama's speech from Bank of America Stadium to the Time Warner Cable Arena, leaving thousands of ticket holders without a chance to see the President.

Convention organizers announced the change of venue on Wednesday afternoon due to the chance of severe weather on Thursday night.

The convention estimates about 65,000 tickets were distributed for the stadium, and the Obama Campaign is discussing options for those tickets holders to see the President in some capacity between now and Election Day.

President Obama's speech will be shown live on News 2 Thursday night at 10:00pm.
