CHARLOTTE -- We can expect to see President Obama head over to he convention hall tonight, campaign aides say.
Obama is expected to be in the Time Warner Cable Arena for tonight's nominating speech by Democratic predecessor Bill Clinton.
spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to spoil the surprise for
convention delegates. But the news is already moving across Twitter and
arena security is getting tighter.
Clinton will make the argument
that Obama inherited a "deeply damaged economy" and deserves a second
term for laying "the foundation for a more, modern, more well-balanced
economy," according to excerpts of his speech.
"If you want a
country of shared prosperity and shared responsibility -- a we're all
in this together society -- you should vote for Barack Obama and Joe
Biden," Clinton will say.
