The season of giving brought out one very generous and anonymous giver. Someone dropped a white gold and diamond ring in a Salvation Army Red Kettle in Winston-Salem. A note was attached, reading “In loving memory of Benny and Phyllis”. It's the third year that a piece of jewelry was put in a Red Kettle in Winston-Salem, with the same note. The Red Kettle campaign is still more than $55,000 behind, in donations.
