4 Students Charged For Fight That Sent 4 Teachers To Hospital

YANCEYVILLE, N.C. -- A fight at a Caswell County school sent four teachers to an area hospital.

The incident happened at Bartlett Yancey High School around 8 a.m. Thursday, according to the Caswell County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office said four teachers received minor injuries while trying to break up the fight. A Cone Health spokesperson said they were taken to Annie Penn Hospital. 

The school's assistant superintendent said the fight happened in the courtyard among students. 

The sheriff's office charged four students who were involved in the fight. Laquane Adams, 18, was charged with one count of Affray and Possession of Marijuana on School Property. He was taken to the Caswell County Detention Facility under a $500 bond. The other students were under 18 years old.

All the students involved have been suspended for 10 days and are scheduled to appear in court October 9.

No weapons were involved. The sheriff's office said
