WASHINGTON, D.C. -- President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama highlighted the country's troops, veterans, and military families in their 2013 Christmas address.

The First Lady talked about how over 70,000 people visited the White House this season to come and see their holiday decorations.

In every room of the White House, the Obamas said they wanted their decorations to celebrate who we are as Americans and why we celebrate the holidays together.

President Obama thanked the country's troops, veterans, and military not only for their service, but for giving Americans the opportunity to rest and cherish the holidays safely.
