BUFFALO, N.Y. - Buffalo police say a city plow driver was arrested
Sunday morning for operating a plow while under the influence, and
crashing into a building and a cab driver.
According to police,
James Evans, 47, of Buffalo, was charged with DWI, leaving the scene of
an injury accident, criminal mischief and other charges.
say that Evans hit a building near the intersection of Bailey Avenue
and Arden Avenue at about 5 a.m. Sunday morning. A short time later, he
struck a cab driver near Eggert Road and Kay Street.
say the cab driver was taken to Erie County Medical Center for
treatment of non-life threatening injuries, including a broken left
Evans was arraigned in Buffalo City Court Monday morning. His license has been suspended, and bail was set at $20,000.
Evans has been suspended without pay from his job, pending a departmental review.
