NEW YORK-- Sunday night, firefighters rescue a New York University student who got trapped between two buildings in Manhattan.
Investigators told Reuters News Service that 19-year-old Asher Vongtau was wheeled away on a stretcher after spending nearly two days stuck in a tight space between a dorm building and parking garage.
Firefighters had to break down a wall to get Vongtau out of the space. Friends say they last saw Vongtau Saturday morning after a false fire alarm went off in the dorm.
Friends reported Vongtau missing Saturday night. Campus police found his cellphone on the roof, that's when they discovered him stuck between the two buildings.
