NEW YORK -- A new study suggests it's okay for women to eat seafood during pregnancy.
Concerns over mercury levels in seafood and the possible effects on pregnant women - may be overblown. That's according to British researchers who say fish accounts for only seven percent of mercury levels in the human body.
They analyzed the diets of more than 4,500 pregnant women, looking at about 100 food and drink items the women consumed.
Doctors say eating fish during pregnancy can have a positive effect on a baby's IQ and eyesight.
