SEATTLE, WA --An apparent tornado has touched down in Fredrickson and caused damage to a building's roof.

Video from Frederickson showed a wall cloud/pendant descending from a cloud base that looks like a tornado.  They are waiting for confirmation from the National Weather Service that the cloud was a tornado. NWS is sending a meteorologist and a technician to the area to survey the damage and conduct interviews.

The possible tornado occurred at 7:45 a.m. Monday and ripped off roof tiles on a Boeing plant at 190th Street and Canyon and blew windows out of cars in the parking lot.

A Central Pierce Fire official said a car was lifted during the event. The video showed two rail cars nearly tipped over.

Workers at Northwest Door, which manufactures garage doors, said they were working on the line when suddenly a hole was ripped in the roof. No one was hurt.

Winds of 70-90 mph were likely during the incident.
