THOMAS, Okla. - Officials ordered nearby areas to evacuate after a fire and explosions rocked a manufacturing site northwest of Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma City television station News 9 reports early Thursday that police confirm explosions hit a Danlin facility near the town of Thomas. A Thomas Fire Department worker said evacuations had been ordered in the area immediately around the plant.
Officials say they didn't know the cause of the fire or explosions. No injuries were immediately reported.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Thomas Police Department, Emergency Management and other agencies were on the scene.
According to its website, Danlin supplies specialty chemicals to the oil and gas industry.
