Mulberry, FL-- Neighbors are calling him a pervert.

A Mulberry man who works for the Hillsborough school district is accused of secretly taping naked teenage girls.

Investigators say Dewey Norris, 51, confessed to using a camera disguised as a pen. They say he placed it on the counter in his bathroom and then secretly taped teenage girls while they used the rest room.

They say it was going on for at least the past two years.

Norris faces at least 53 counts of video-voyeurism for using a pen-sized camera to secretly record the girls.

"He said that he simply took the pictures for his own personal sexual gratification," said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.

Detectives would not disclose the victims' relationship to Norris, but say the girls; ages 14, 15, 16 and 19 - had all been informed.

Each says Norris never touched or abused them, but when they found out about the recordings?

"They were absolutely mortified," said Judd.

And this may be just the beginning, say detectives who seized five computers from Norris's home and are now going through those file by file to see if there are any more victims.

Of major concern - Norris has spent the last 20 years around children as an air conditioning tech for the Hillsborough County School District.

He has no problems on his record, they say, but has been suspended now and may be fired.

"It's still very shocking," said Steve Hegarty, a spokeman for the school district.

Investigators say they got tipped off to Norris by a friend who was using his computer and spotted the files.

That tip, they say, led to DVD's and the camera which Norris claims he destroyed.

Neighbors say they've rarely see anyone outside the home. Their reaction ranged from disgust to anger.

"Basically a pervert," said neighbor Jason Johnson.

"I'd have preferred someone selling drugs or something getting arrested. I mean, because there's kids. There's families here," said neighbor Laura Cruz.

Investigators say there's little doubt about who made the recordings, because each time the pen camera would be set to record or picked up afterward, they say you could see Norris also recording his own image.
