Las Vegas, NV - Wednesday, 98 protesters were arrested after they sat, blocking traffic, in the middle of Las Vegas Boulevard, the Las Vegas Sun reported.

The protesters were with the Culinary Union Local 226. They spent an hour chanting a message to the Cosmopolitan resort. "Cosmopolitan, look around, Las Vegas is a union town!" they yelled, according to LVS.

The report said the protest stemmed from contract negotiations over the last two years between Cosmopolitan employees and the resort owner, Deutsche Bank.

More than 2,000 picketers joined protesters, standing alongside of the Strip. They dispersed after police arrested the last of the protestors in the street.
