Sacramento-- It is a common practice for police to bring along four-legged officers to crime scenes.

The canines assist officers in searches, rescues and take down or apprehension of suspects.

Using K-9 officers have also resulted in lawsuits for the damage they do to suspects after they catch them.

Multiple cases have been filed against Sacramento, CA Police Departments over K-9, or police dog brutality after crime suspects claimed that even after submission cops allowed the dogs to continue to bite them.
