Washington, DC -- President Obama's health care law has a surprise that has Americans searching "Obamacare fee" across the Internet.

The fee is $63-per-person to help people with pre-existing conditions. Workers and their families are among the estimated 190 million Americans that will be affected starting in 2014.

Employers are not happy about this fee because the cost of compliance works out to tens of millions of dollars for the largest companies, but will only be a few hundred dollars for smaller firms. Most of the money will go to their workers.

According to the Obama administration, the money will help health insurance companies from unpredictable costs of insuring people that don't have insurance with pre-existing conditions. They say society will benefit in the long run.

The fee is only temporary and is projected to raise $25 billion over three years.
