Geneva, Switzerland -- Jazz bassist Marcus Miller and several members of his band have been injured in a bus accident in central Switzerland.
Police say the driver was killed when the private bus tipped over on busy highway and came to rest on its side. The German registered bus was carrying 13 people, two drivers and 11 members of the Marcus Miller Band, including Miller.
The American band was on its way from Monte Carlo to the Dutch town of Hengelo for a performance tomorrow.
Over his career, Miller has worked with jazz greats such as Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie and Wayne Shorter, according to his website. He won two Grammys, His first came in 1991 for Best Rhythm & Blues Song ("Power of Love") along with Luther Vandross and Teddy Vann. The second was in 2001 for Best Contemporary Jazz Album ("M2").
