Police: Three People Arrested In Bank Robbery

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Greensboro Police Department says its officers arrested three people in connection with a robbery at the SunTrust Bank.

It happened Tuesday afternoon at the bank located on Vanstory Street in Greensboro. Police say a man entered the bank and demanded money from a teller and then ran away. Police later identified the man as William Puryear, 53 who was arrested at the Baymont Inn located on Veasely Drive. Police also say they arrested two accomplices: Teresa Wright, 53 and Crystal Ashby. Police say they could not verify a Greensboro address for those arrested.

Police say Puryear, Wright, and Ashby each face one charge of Common Law Robbery.

No one was injured during the robbery.
