ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. -- The Rowan County Sheriff's Office has charged three people with trafficking bath salts.

Deputies received a tip that a man was distributing large amounts of bath salts from his home and his former business in China Grove.

Deputies searched 44-year-old Michael Todd Bramblett's house in Rockwell. They said they found numerous items used to cut and package bath salts for distribution. Field tests also revealed positive for illegal bath salts. They believe the bath salts were mailed from China to Bramblett under a legal substance name.

Investigators also found materials used to dilute the bath salts inside the house along with scales. Deputies took 60 grams of undiluted suspected bath salts, 10 small plastic bags that appeared to be diluted bath salts. They also found a handgun, shotgun, Oxycodone tablets and $458.

Bramblett's father and ex-wife were also charged. Bobby Ray Bramblett, 73, was charged with Trafficking MPDV by Possession and Felonious Maintaining a Residence, and Trafficking Opium by Possession. Marian Michelle Jones, 35, was charged with Trafficking MPDV by Possession and Felonious Maintaining a Residence. Bond is at $500,000 for all three arrested and charged.
