Sketch Of Burlington Robbery Suspect Released

BURLINGTON, N.C. -- The Burlington Police Department is investigating a string of robberies they believe is connected to the same suspect.

On Monday, police released a sketch of the robbery suspect. They say since Nov. 25, the suspect has robbed five Burlington businesses. The list of stores in Burlington includes:

  • Payless Shoes (University Drive): 11/25/2013 at 1:06 p.m.
  • Dollar General (I-85) Plaza/Alamance Road):12/01/2013 at 2:00 p.m.
  • Sally's Beauty (Maple Avenue):12/20/2013 at 1:33 p.m.
  • Home Depot (Kirkwood Drive):12/20/2013 at 2:34 p.m.
  • Food Lion (I-85 Plaza/Alamance Road): 12/24/2013 at  12:12 p.m.

Investigators also believe the robbery suspect is connected to two robberies in Mebane and two more in Greensboro. The suspect has either shown or threatened to use a gun in each robbery. Police also say the man used a 2002-2007 black Buick Rendezvous in some of the robberies.
