CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Authorities are looking for a Huntersville man who failed to show up in court when a jury returned a verdict in his trial.

The Charlotte Observer reports 24-year-old Tahj Wilson was on trial on multiple charges of robbery, conspiracy and felony possession of cocaine. When court adjourned on Tuesday, Wilson left with everyone else.

Without Wilson, the jury on Wednesday convicted him of one of the robbery charges, along with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and cocaine possession. Prosecutors say the charges stem from a 2011 undercover marijuana buy during which an accomplice pulled a gun and robbed officers of a cellphone, cash and car keys. Officers monitoring the buy arrested the suspects.

Wilson will be sentenced as soon as police find him.
