WSPD Investing Automobile Break-Ins in the Ardmore Area

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --Winston-Salem Police are investigating another string of auto break-ins.

Police say nine cars were broken into in the Ardmore area of Winston-Salem Thursday night.

Earlier this week, 20 vehicles in the Meredith and Oak Meadows sub-divisions off Oak Grove Church Road near Union Cross Road were also broken-into.

Some of the vehicles' windows were broken as the thieves tried to get in. 

Locked and unlocked vehicles were hit.

Police say the items taken include pocketbooks, electronic equipment, and loose change.

Property damage is estimated to be $600 and stolen property is estimated to e $1000, according to police.

No suspects have been identified.
