Looking forward to parades, tree lightings, and holiday musicals this year?

WFMY News 2 has your list on where to go this season for some family-fun:

Friday, December 6:

Asheboro Christmas Parade: Starts at 7 p.m. in downtown. Anyone wanting to participate should contact Amy Rudisil with the Randolph Chamber of Commerce at 336-626-2626

Saturday, December 7:

Greensboro Jaycees once again sponsoring the Greensboro Holiday Parade. It starts at noon in downtown Greensboro. WFMY News 2 team will be a part of the parade, come say hello! Click on Greensboro Holiday Parade for more details.

Winston-Salem Jaycees Holiday Parade: Starts at 5 p.m. at Fourth and Spruce streets in downtown. Additional parade information and online registration can be found on their webpage here.

Christmas Hayride and Bonfire: Held from 2-6 p.m. at Kopper Top Life Learning Center in Liberty. Includes food, fun with animals, hot chocolate, s'mores over the fire and more. Admission is $5 per person, kids under 5 years old are free.

Sunday, December 8:

Free Community Performance of Handel's "Messiah" at Reynolds Auditorium in Winston-Salem. Located at 301 N. Hawthorne Rd., starts at 3 p.m. Contact Jamie Allen at 336-785-9842 for more information.

Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at the Children's Home of Winston-Salem: located at 1001 Reynolda Road. From 5-7:15 p.m. Hayrides will be offered from 5-6 p.m. and service starts in Woosley Chapel at 6:15 p.m., followed by the lighting of the tree.

Friday, December 13:

"A Stroll To Remember" includes caroling and the lighting of the Christmas tree in Madison. Stroll takes place from 3-7 p.m., with lighting of the tree at 7:30 p.m.

Christmas Drive-Thru: Held Dec 13-15 from 6-8 p.m. at Thompsonville Baptist Church in Reidsville. Event is free and depicts live scenes from the life of Christ.

Saturday, December 14:

Town of Star (Montgomery County) Parade and 5K Run- Parade starts at 2 p.m. with street vendors selling Christmas goodies.

1 mile fun-run starts at 8 am and Twinkle Toes 5K starts at 9 a.m. Proceeds benefit Star Elementary School for health and physical education activities.

16th Annual Stokesdale Holiday Parade starts at 2 p.m. For more information contact Vicki White-Lawrence at 336-643-7676.



"Deck The Stalls" Chilli Dinner and Holiday Bonfire at Safe Haven Equine Farm from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Located at 245 Cedar Ridge Lane in High Point.

Sunday, December 15



Pleasant Garden Christmas Parade: Begins at 3 p.m. at the corner of Pleasant Garden and Nesbitt roads.



On-Going:

Country Christmas Train At Denton FarmPark: 1.5 mile train ride takes passengers around the woods while telling Christmas story. Includes a short Christmas movie.

Starts November 30 and will be held on Dec 1, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 26.

Christmas Light Show For Charity: More than 17,000 LED lights set to music on FM 87.9 at 5500 Brooke Dylan Ct. in McLeansville.

Held each evening from 5:15-10 p.m. Will be held until midnight the week of Christmas.

Cash donations will also be accepted for the Wounded Warrior Project as well as canned goods for Greensboro Urban Ministry. Contact Al Bouldin at 336-944-1612 for more information.

Pilot Mountain Christmas: Free walk through Christmas display with over 750,000 lights at 4236 NC 268 Highway East. Takes place on Friday and Saturday nights through December from 6-9 pm. For more information visit their webpage.
