Greensboro, NC -- A fast food restaurant in Greensboro abruptly closed and missed payday for its employees.

Several Popeye's employees contacted News 2 after they did not receive their paycheck when it was due, Wednesday.
A "temporarily closed" sign was put outside the Popeyes restaurant on Pisgah Church Road on Friday.
The employees were called in for a meeting Thursday afternoon with a restaurant representative who refused to give us his title.
The employees were paid Thursday but they will not be able to cash them until Monday because they are postdated.
The representative wouldn't explain why the restaurant closed, except to say "it's complicated."
"We don't know if we are going to have our job still, we don't know any of that," explained one employee, Shaquita White.
White added, "Somebody should be at fault for this. Its somebody's fault."
That representative told News 2 that every employee was paid, no one was fired, and that the store would reopen but couldn't say when.
We reached out to the Popeye's corporate office for clarification but we still haven't heard back.
