NEW YORK -- Taco Bell's waffle tacos are going to more test markets before it appears on their national breakfast menu next year, according to a report from the AP.
Eggs and sausage are folded into the waffle-shaped taco. The AP reports the waffle taco was a best seller in five Southern California restaurants earlier this year. They said the expansion will hit about 100 restaurants starting Thursday in Fresno, Calif.; Omaha, Neb.; and Chattanooga, Tenn.
Taco Bell has approximately 6,000 U.S. restaurants and has offered breakfast in about 850 of them in 10 Western states, according to the AP.
