REIDSVILLE, N.C. -- Deputies with the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office have released a photo of the woman who they say is selling Girl Scout cookies illegally.
Shelia* Marie Staley is facing charges of felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense.
The Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont reported last Tuesday that someone who is not affiliated with the Girl Scouts was selling their cookies in the Reidsville area. They asked community members not to buy those cookies and report that person to the sheriff's office.

Staley is also wanted by police in Danville, Va. for Fail to Comply with Terms of Probation and Fail to Appear.
Staley's last known address was in the 100 block of Jones Lake Road in Reidsville.
Anyone with information about her location is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (336) 349-9683.
The Girls Scouts have the following statement on their website about the importance of their cookie sales:
Selling Girl Scout Cookies is an important component of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience for girls. Each Girl Scout council develops the procedures and guidelines for its cookie activities, including the dates when you can order or purchase cookies and the price you will pay per package. A council conducts only one cookie sale per year. Most of these activities take place between January and April, but some occur as early as September.
*There is a discrepancy on the spelling of Staley's first name. The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office says her name is spelled Shelia on her warrant, however, the Danville Police Department says her name is spelled Sheila.
