Winston-Salem, NC -- Police say two people are dead after a shooting at Forsyth Medical Center.
Officers arrived at the hospital just before 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. They found two victims inside a room on the third floor of the medical center.
Saqueena Cutchin, 28, was a patient at the hospital at the time.
Police believe Tazeman Boone, 27, went into the room and shot her before killing himself.
They say the two were in a domestic relationship and that, right now, it appears to be a homicide-suicide.
Denise Mihal, Chief Operating Officer at Forsyth Medical Center, released this statement Sunday morning:
"An incident occurred on the campus of Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center last night that resulted in a police investigation. The event was isolated to one patient room and our staff responded swiftly and appropriately to the situation to ensure the safety of others. Our staff is cooperating fully with Winston-Salem police and their ongoing investigation of the incident. We are deeply saddened by the events and extend our deepest sympathies to the families."
