Undated -- Technology has changed how people look for jobs.  20 years ago, people used the newspaper classifieds. Now, you might head to our Gannett parters careerbuilder.com or to monster.com. But here's the wave of the future. An app called "Proven" allows you apply for jobs from your phone!

Proven lets people search for jobs on craigslist and Simply Hired. You can upload and store versions of your resume and cover letters through your profile on your phone. You can search for job openings through the app and when you find one you like, simply attach your resume -- from your phone -- and apply, right then and there. Proven CEO & Founder Pablo Fuentes told 2 Wants to Know its helpful because many times people may see a job opening, but not be apply to apply that moment. By the time they get back to their computer, find the job listing again, and apply, days could pass, and someone else could get the position.

You can also use Twitter in your job search! According to an article on Mashable, to effectively use Twitter as a job search tool you should follow people in the industries you're interested in. The article says you should engage with people who do what you want to do. And they say it's not enough to just have a twitter handle. You should tweet and use it as an opportunity to showcase your personality, and connect with people who can potentially help you find a new job!
