Clemmons, NC -- A suspected robber dressed in a bright colored safety vest and dark garments concealing his face is seen climbing over a service counter in photos released by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

The man entered the State Employee's Credit Union (SECU) located on South Peace Haven Road in Clemmons shortly after noon Tuesday.

Investigators said the man, armed with a small handgun, demanded money after climbing over the service counter. At some point while he was behind the counter the gun was fired, but nobody was injured.

Witnesses told police the suspect was last seen heading toward the new Baptist Hospital medical office. They believe he left in a dark colored Mercedes passenger car.

He was described as a white male, average height, large build. Detectives said he wore a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, ski mask, yellow safety vest and orange gloves.
