Storm Knocks Down Trees In The Triad

An early morning storm knocked down several trees throughout the Triad on Friday.

Randolph County EMS said a tree fell on a home on Little River Road in Seagrove around 5:45 a.m. There are no reported injuries.

Winston-Salem police officers are directing traffic around a tree that hit a power line on Old Rural Hall Road at Walkertown Road. Police say Duke Energy and the fire department are on scene. Another tree fell earlier in the morning on NC 66 at U.S. 52 North in Forsyth County.

A tree also hit a power line in Rockingham County. This one went down on Plummer Acres Drive in Madison. Another tree fell down on Stone Mountain Road near Ponderosa Road in Stoneville.
