High Point, NC -- A committee evaluating changes that need to be made to the Guilford County Jail in High Point, where two inmates escaped, has determined they need to strengthen all the windows.

Sheriff BJ Barnes told WFMY News 2 that they do not have a cost estimate at this time, but they are working to find money within the Sheriff's Office's budget.

After investigating the incidents that led to the inmates' escape, Barnes said the policies and procedures at the jail are fine; the problem was they weren't followed.

Policies will continue to be reviewed in their internal investigation. Barnes assured that action will be taken.
