Tisdale failed to appear in court Feb. 21 for the embezzlement case. That same day, officers found the body of his partner, Robert Tisdale, in his Pfafftown home after Robert's mother called police concerned about his well-being.

Tisdale was arrested in Las Vegas for unrelated charges and had been held there since Feb. 22. He was served warrants by officers in Las Vegas for Robert Tisdale's death. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office worked with Las Vegas law enforcement to have Steven Tisdale extradited to NC.
