Winston-Salem, NC - The Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina added a new center that provides free, personalized services for professional job seekers.

"We are seeing more and more out of work professionals who haven't had to job search in many years. This is a place to help bring them up to speed on many of the changes that have occurred in the job search process," said Randy Wooden, Professional Center Director.

The Professional Center will be located in the REACT Center at 450 West Hanes Mill Rd. in Winston-Salem. It will offer people seeking job assistance with networking skills, interviewing strategies, salary negotiation, social media and image consulting services.

"...coming together in a job link center and a one stop center. It will make it easier for these individuals. So, they don't have to go to 10 different locations to get the help that they need," said Allen Joines, Mayor of Winston-Salem.

According to a news release, the center will also provide services for employers, including career transition services and can connect companies to qualified professional candidates.

"If we can match a local person, with a local company. The person wins, the company wins and the community wins because people continue to work and have houses and spend money in our local area," said Wooden.

Goodwill provides a wide range of training, placement and workforce development services to help people develop the skills they need to find jobs and become more independent.

These services are offered at our Workforce Development Centers and are offered in partnership with area community colleges, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Department of Social Services, Mental Health and other community organizations.
