Triad --  Even though some places reported snow for almost 12 hours, many of us had very little accumulation.  Isolated reports from Guilford, Alamance, Randolph and Montgomery Counties indicated the highest snow totals ranged from 0.5-1.0".  The majority of the area reported no accumulation at all.

Even though the falling snow is now over, any water left on sidewalks and roads is likely to freeze tonight.  Some places are already at or below freezing and lows will bottom out in the mid 20s tonight.  That means the black ice possibility exists from now through Sunday morning.

As always, the biggest concern is on bridges and overpasses. Be extra careful when walking and driving through tomorrow morning.

The good news is that it shouldn't last long in the morning.  Even though temperatures will be slow to rise, the sun will be out and that should help to melt ice on the roads.

The rest of Sunday will be sunny and beautiful.  The catch is that highs will likely not reach 40, with wind gusts up to 25 mph at times.
