Guilford Co. Schools, GPD Talk About Keeping Kids Safe

Greensboro, NC-- Friday, when the buses rolled to take children home from school for the day, many parents and staff members knew about the shooting in Connecticut.

It was a shooting that many are trying to comprehend that happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. When the shooting stopped, police said 20 kids, 6 adults and the shooter was dead.

The shooter killed himself, police said.

Although, the shooting was hundreds of miles from Greensboro, Guilford County School officials said their hearts and minds were with those students, teachers and others at that elementary school.
