Greensboro, N.C.--Quite a few NCAA Division II and III Football teams look close to home when recruiting players.

This holds true for Guilford College.

Head Coach Chris Rusiewicz just had to stray a few miles away from campus for the Quakers starting quarterback.

Just last year, Matt Pawlowski was leading Northwest Guilford to a share of the Piedmont Triad 4A Title and a spot in the playoffs.

In four games this season, Pawlowski is 85-143 for 842 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Another Triad football alum is his favorite target.

Adam Smith played Defensive Back and Quarterback at Davie County.

When he got to Guilford, he was moved to Wide Receiver and has flourished this year.

Smith leads the team in both catches with 26 and receiving yards with 270.
