Greensboro, N.C. - If you've been outside for even a few minutes, you know the past few weeks have felt like you're roasting in an oven. We've become accustomed to air conditioning and even have come to expect it.

More than two-hundred people live inside the Cascades Grandview apartments in Greensboro and they're getting sick of this heat. They've dealt with three weeks of no air conditioning, and promise after promise that the air will come back on.

Friday morning, the Greensboro Housing Coalition hand-delivered a letter asking the apartment managers to get the air back on. Some tenants have been leaving their sliding glass doors open. Others told News 2 they're even standing near their open refrigerators to try and cool off.

"The worst part is when I'm trying to get ready to go out and begin the day...I'm sweating. It' just like constant sweat. You just have to get used to it, I guess, and drink lots of water. At least the water is working," tenant Daniel Peoples said.

The on-site manager refused to answer any of News 2's questions Friday. However, News 2 discovered the company that runs the complex is owned by another company called Gent Co Real Estate, LLC, based out of Virginia.

Thursday night, a group of tenants met to talk about their options. Some are filing legal complaints. Others are trying to move out.
