Cyclists Honor Those Killed While Sharing The Road

Greensboro, NC -- Just last month, Winston-Salem Kathy Shubert died when she was hit by a car while riding her bike in Summerfield.

Wednesday night, hundreds of cyclists rode in silence in honor of Kathy and all other cyclists killed or injured while sharing the road.

The Ride of Silence started at 7:00 pm in time zone after time zone around the world for 24 hours straight.

Participants described the event as powerful, emotional, and amazing.
