Undated -- Many of you may be considering going in with your co-workers to get your share of Friday's $540 million Mega Millions jackpot.
Pools can be a great way to get in on the action, but if you don't plan ahead, you may not get your fair share of the jackpot.
So what can you do to keep everyone in the pool honest?
"Put down the names of the people, have everybody sign it. up at the top it says we're all chipping in $2," said CBS News Legal Analyst Jack Ford. "Because it eliminates any of these problems. Money, that kind of money, can change relationships real fast."
Smartmoney.com also recommends that everyone who puts cash in the pool get a copy of the ticket.
The website also says if the person buying the pool tickets also buys individual tickets, make sure the shared ones are clearly marked before the drawing in a way that can't be changed.
