Washington, DC -- First Lady Michelle Obama and children from across the country participated in the fourth annual White House Kitchen Garden planting day Monday.

Among those present were students from Sumner Elementary School in Greensboro. They earned the trip after writing to the First Lady last fall about their plans to plant their own garden.

The students joined Mrs. Obama in the Garden to plant fruit and vegetables as part of her initiative to get children healthy and to exercise.
