Winston-Salem, NC-- Monday, we may know more about what the City of Winston-Salem's plans to do with Lawrence Joel Coliseum and Bowman Gray Stadium.
According to a city notification, City Council has scheduled a special meeting to discuss options for those two venues. The meeting is at 4 pm at City Hall.
For more than a year, rumors have circulated that Wake Forest is interested in possibly purchasing the Lawrence Joel Coliseum.

The University has purchased most of the property along Deacon Blvd and has demolished most of the buildings along that road. The school wants to grow its off campus environment much like other universities.
The school has only confirmed they've talked to the city in the past expressing interest in buying the Coliseum.

Wake Forest already owns BB&T, formerly Groves Stadium where football games are played. Two years ago, the school purchased the Dash's stadium (formerly Warthogs) for its baseball team.
Bowman Gray Stadium is home to Modified racing and home football games for Winston-Salem State University.
