Greensboro, NC -- This is the news a special newly wed has been waiting for. Her tumors are getting smaller.

WFMY News 2 has been bringing you Meleshia Daye's incredible survival story since last October. She was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer, and she's only 24.

Meleshia and her fiance moved up their wedding date because they didn't want to waste what time they had together.

Meleshia updated News 2 late Tuesday that she has good news from the doctor. Her most recent CT scans show the tumors in her breast went from three centimeters to 0.9 centimeters, and one in her liver went from nine centimeters to 2.8 centimeters. They all shrunk by about 70 percent.

Meleshia had another surgery Wednesday. She said she doesn't need a full mastectomy, but she is having her left breast removed and continuing with radiation before reconstructive surgery.
