Greensboro, NC - For the past 13 years, the North Carolina Dream Center and the New Jerusalem Cathedral have been holding the Christ-MASS toy giveaway.
This year, they have a total of 2,300 children that will be receiving toys. That's the highest number of people they've helped yet. Pastor Kevin Williams of the New Jerusalem Cathedral said "Not only the children love it, Mom and Dad enjoy it because its not only a night out for the children but its ultimately is a night out for the family."
Every family received a bag full of toys and gifts donated from different organizations and individuals. "I think all of it coming together though brings people like the volunteers and things like that, that brings them together because that brings them the Christmas spirit as well," Williams said.
With the amount of people that showed up for the event there was not enough room to seat everybody in the church so a line formed outside in the parking lot for toy distribution.
