Davidson County, NC -- The Davidson County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing Tuesday night to discuss incentives packages for 2 companies that would create a total of 63 jobs.

The incentives packages for Lolly Wolly Doodle and an unnamed plastics manufacturer have been approved by the Board of Commissioners.

Lolly Wolly Doodle, a children's clothing company out of Lexington, has been given a $1M investment with the responsibility of creating 38 new jobs.

The company has applied for a CBGB, a Community Development Block Grant, in the amount of $750,000 for use of a building in the County for their business.

The currently unnamed plastics manufacturer has been given a $1.5M investment with the responsibility of creating 25 new jobs.

Zeb Hanner, Assistant County Manager, says there will be a public hearing on October 11th, in which a 3rd incentives package will be considered.

This package, Project "H", will be a $4M investment and will create 60 jobs for Davidson County.
