Baltimore, Maryland -- Baltimore police have spent the day searching a state park for clues in the disappearance of a North Carolina teenager.
Phylicia Barnes of Monroe, N.C., was reported missing Dec. 28 just weeks before her 17th birthday. She had been visiting three older half-siblings over the holidays in Baltimore when she went missing.
Hundreds of law enforcement officers and volunteers searched Patapsco Valley State Park on Saturday. Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says the park was identified through interviews with people of interest.
The search turned up empty as of late Saturday afternoon. WBAL-TV reports that the partially decomposed body of a man was found during the search, but police say it's not the missing teen.
