Asheboro, NC - Textile manufacturing may be a thing of the past in North Carolina, but the folks at Texas Jeans U.S.A. are trying to keep the American dream alive.

One of the last 100% made in the U.S.A. jean company resides in Asheboro, North Carolina.

Every pair of denim jeans uses only American based vendors.  The denim is brought in from Georgia, the thread, and zippers come from North Carolina.

"When buying other companies jeans, don't be confused with assembled in the U.S.", says Texas Jeans employee Fred Womer.  "Those companies are getting their denim from several different overseas factories, they bring them here and they throw their labels on them and they sell them as assembled in the U.S.  A lot of people don't realize that they weren't made here."

The 186,000-square foot facility plant operates six days a week and employs nearly 300.

The only place to purchase the jeans is via their website.  For more information visit
